Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get my mail?
All United States Postal Service (USPS) mail is delivered to the Mail House; it is not delivered to your physical street address. The Management Office will assign you a mailbox and provide a key. Alternatively, you may rent a mailbox at the West End Post Office. Packages from other carriers, such as FedEx or UPS, are usually delivered directly to your physical address. Be sure to include both your mailbox and physical addresses in any correspondence.
Example:
John Doe
111 Main Street
9999 Seven Lakes West (USPS abbreviation: 9999 7 LKS W)
Seven Lakes, NC 27376 — or West End, NC 27376
Do I live in Seven Lakes or West End?
Our community is known as Seven Lakes and is an unincorporated area, meaning we have no central town government; services are provided by Moore County. Our post office is in West End, which is also an unincorporated area. You can use either town name for your mail since the zip code is the same; if you are telling people where you live, Seven Lakes is the more appropriate term.
Is SLW part of SLN and SLS?
Seven Lakes West (SLW) has been a separate entity from Seven Lakes North and Seven Lakes South for approximately 40 years. SLW has its own HOA called Seven Lakes West Landowners Association (SLWLA).
Can I use SLN facilities?
Seven Lakes North and South have a separate landowner association from SLW. Although SLW residents may join the health club and tennis facilities in SLN, we are not permitted to use their other recreational facilities.
Is Beacon Ridge Country Club part of SLW?
Beacon Ridge is privately-owned and not part of SLW Landowners Association; a separate membership is required. Beacon Ridge members who are not residents of SLW access the club through the main gate.
Can I have newspapers delivered to my house?
Yes, there is delivery of The Pilot twice a week (Wednesday & Sunday); and USA Today, News and Observer (Raleigh), Fayetteville Observer, and Wall Street Journal have daily delivery. The papers are delivered to your home address, not to the mail house.
Where can I get a plat plan for my property?
Moore County has an extensive GIS system that allows you to search for your property records and plat maps:https://www.moorecountync.gov/gis
